can't decide between General Grabbers A/T 2, Firestone Destination A/T and A/T Revo's

Guys, I know there are a thousand posts on this topic but I really need help making up my mind. I've narrowed my choices down to these 3 based on all of your reviews and pricing. I drive mostly local streets but need something that tracks well in the Northeast snow. What would be your choice and what do you think of the OTD prices for these:

General Grabbers A/T 2: $600
Firsestone Destination A/T: $620
A/T Revo's: $740

 

Grabbers. Have them. Love them.

 

I like my Revos.

My new General Grabber AT2s...

 

what do you guys think of these prices? I'm looking to replace my Rugged Fails because they suck so bad in the snow but not looking to break the bank. Based on solid reviews and the $600 price tag I was leaning towards the General Grabbers.

Just put these Goodyear Wrangler TD's on the Taco this fall and after our first big snow I'm impressed. 550.00 otd.

 

How do you like yours?

 

+ one more for the AT2's.Almost 20K on them.

 

IMO go with BFGoodrich All Terrain TA KOs.

 

what size and how much

 

I just put on a set of Firestone Destination AT's and they stink... I let the guy at Firestone talk me out of the Grabber AT2's and wish I wouldn't have.

Just got 8-10" of snow in Cleveland, and am very dissappointed in the tires... Wife has Grabber AT2's, and they outperform the Firestone's by a long shot....

Either way is a nice upgrade over factory, but go with the Generals!

 

I'm looking at Destination ATs on my truck... we don't get snow here in NC often but we do get ice a couple of times a year. Online reviews indicate the Destinations handle ice relatively well... any experience with ice since you put them on your truck?

 

A little ice, and lots of slush so far... still a moderate performer... The grabbers have been on the wife's truck and have been superb in all conditions. I will say the Firestone AT's are better than stock, but will replace them with General's next time around. My fuel mileage also dropped about 3 mpg, but they are bigger and heavier too.... Good luck... at the end of the day... buy what you like and use the WWW to find as much as you can, but don't overload on too much info.....

 

Gerenal Grabber is a great tire, but baed on your response that you'll be doing mostly highway driving, I'd go with the Bridgestone AT Revo 2's. I have them on my truck and it does well in snow and wet weather driving. Plus they're quiet. A coworker of mine has the Generals' and loves them, but they're a little bit more road noise due to their aggresive tread. You can't go wrong with either tire.
