At the Chevy dealer looking a 2500 Dmax to kill some time. Noticed another 3rd gen being valued for trade at same time. Sales guy meets me in the lot and says "Damn another one of you guys!?"

Wonder how the used numbers are compared to 2015 or 2014 tacomas this same time the previous year. Seems like a lot of used ones for sale already.

Several between Dallas and OKC for sale also . Very low mileage . Myself , I don't take it as a good sign . I want one so bad I cant taste it but I have x amount of $ and must spend carefully . Rethinking a Silverado to be honestly. Been in a 4x4 Toyota since 1984 and had no intention of even considering anything else . Than I joined TW . I like to be informed and it just ain't all warm and fuzzies with this release .

Happens all the time with anything. Doesn't matter how good a vehicle is, there will be people that don't like it shortly after getting it.

I also wouldn't be surprised if some get one and it quickly dawns on them that they need/want a full-size instead.

Don't think so! Maybe for enthusiasts but not for kgb and the rest of the world. People out there still believe in tacomas/Toyotas. At least ppl that stay out of TW.

    Another biased worthless thread.
As much as you try Smit I don't think your intention to hurt Toyota sales will work.
Quick, look out the window, I think someone pulled up on your Ridgeline lot !

Hilux is not the same as Tacoma... both are Toyota pickups. That's where the similarities end. Different frame, engines, fuel, size, look and feel, tow ratings etc etc

I traded in 14 Silverado 1,5K and I don't think I'm going back to GM. Even though I should say that I traded with about 15k miles without any problems. Except one time I had oil leak due to hole in the filter or filter wasn't tighten.

Exactly. The rest of the world as you put it, don't get Tacomas. Just North America

If my tacobell will give me bad time in the near future I would just go for tundra or another 4Runner... I think.

A few have also dumped brand almost new 2nd gens for 3rd gens and 16s for 17s, SR5 to TRDs or Limited, Autos to manuals and Tundras, 4Runner and full size.

World is full of finicky people.

The dealer I bought my 13 from emailed me saying they didn't have enough tacoma a on the lot if I wanted to trade it in. I told them what I wanted for it in a TRD pro 4 runner, the conversation ended. My wife ended up trading her nissan murano in on an sr5 mag gray 4runner but made them throw in TRD pro wheels.

I just got my awning, my taco is where I want it. A surf fishing machine.

If I'm going to spend 40k, 50k, 60k on a new truck definitely going to be finicky but some of these issues on the third gen are more than "finicky" problems. I had a $50k GMC Sierra Denali for 3 years not a single issue.

Why are you assuming they had an issue with the truck?
