2" coil spacers in front, 1.5" lift blocks in rear with 285/75/r16s. Painfully stock.
Hi tacomaworld I was wondering if anyone has installed subs in a double cab without taking up rear seats. If so please shed light on how it is done

Can't be done. I have measured....researched...... looked at shallow subs....box dimensions......conclusion.....cant be done unless you want a half ass/shitty sounding system. Here is a suggestion. Buy a removable sub box and put your choice of sub in it, add a amp of your choice. When no one is in the back seat, blast away. If you have passengers, take the box out and leave it at the house or put it in your toolbox if applicable.

Yea this is a hard thing to do. I used to have a box that i build to fit over the hump on the floor. You could still get three people in the back but their legs were squished. i wish i still had a picture to show you. It was just a square box with legs on both sides so it sat flat on the floor and i have a 10" sub facing the back seat. it wasn't loud but it added a good bass to your music

None. I make my own boxes and dont have a dbl cab.

Sealed up with a couple quality shallow 8s should do just fine in that box.

Care to explain why this wouldn't be sufficient for a basic sub setup then?

From one of the reviews: One more thing to be aware of is that this box will push your speaker maybe a quarter inch from the seat. That being said grill covers over your woofers is suggested. Great product but could be re-engineered by some degree.

    Hmmm. Fits like shit.

For the space given thats to be expected. Reviewers seem happy enough to rate is no less than 4 stars.

Definitely seems like less of a hassle then having to remove a heavy ass sub box and having it take up a seats worth of space (even though thats what im doing in my ext cab except it cant be removed without unbolting the seats)
