Anyone know if there's a difference between the spring used on the Bilstein shocks up front on the TRDOR and the spring used on Hitachi shocks up front on an SR?

That part I know, nice upgrade over the Hitachi shocks. I'm wondering about the spring itself though

Will post more pics and after measurements later, like I said over an easy job for a 37 year old not a 57 year old, them damn UCA bolts were a bit frustrating wasting my time....but overall quite pleased with initial gain, slight rubbing hard over but not bad, Cmc on the list........

not true, same manufacturer but they are closer to a 4600 which is a considerably lower quality shock than a 5100

Neither Sports or OR have 5100's, both are closer to 4600's. Sports being more street oriented. And 5100's don't ride well.

But for real 5100's don't ride well IMO

just depends on your definition of well and where you have them set. 2.5 setting, probably a little rough. 1.75 is a considerable improvement. Either way they are still a huge improvement over a spacer kit that would be the cost alternative.

I like my trucks on the stiffer riding side, my 17 is getting an Icon Stage 7 kit with rear bumps, I will likely run the CDCs up front in the 7-8 range and the bypasses out back stiffer on the compression than normal. Just personal preference.

Sure, I agree anything is better than a spacer kit. Too much preload on anything will cause a really stiff ride. Since I like a softer ride, I wouldn't purchase a shock that has that much preload at that height. Even though they are awesome, CDC's and bypasses are out of the question for me.
