Yes tied the front rear frame with the cage and with subframe connectors . The front of the door bars is tied into the rocker panel and floor . The triangular bar off the main hoop tied to the rear frame rail

The car is very stiff and feels like a tank LOL . I did a test hit earlier this afternoon and the Camaro will 60' really hard now

Stay safe Mike! I told you Found on Road dead meant FORD. You can also get a PCM a lot cheaper from a junk yard and then flip it. Erh excuse me, salvage yard. When my Grandpa used to pull parts and taught me how to do it they were back then in a Junkyard and he owned a Texaco Station after working in the Coal mines in Pa. and WV.

Ever hear of the Bodine brothers and the Glen? I used to go the Chemung County Airport to pick up Avgas when Geoff was racing Indy circuit. My Uncle was his head mechanic and the garage was my Grandfather's located next to the house\old RR station. Which was the Chemung Hotel at the time. Not to be confused with the one with the Moose head and bar LOL, the one down by the railroad tracks that had flyers for beaver hats and buffalo coats sitting on the floor of the abandoned RR station. A branch of the Erie canal flowed in front of it until the Highway went in. Pulled a lot of fur out of that canal before then.

Brett did pretty good too he was a year younger than me. Dated my sister but that is a whole nother story. Todd was a young guy back then. He did OK too although I really didn't know him well like Geoff and Brett.

Have a picture of my father on the 1/4 mile dirt track in Chemung carrying the checked flag. Of course after the water truck came out and put the dust down. His car is just a 50's cage and not pretty and just a step below Sprint racing in Owego. Dad has a chit eating grin on his face carrying the checkered flag and it is my favorite picture of him. Not sure why you triggered all of that but thanks for the memories Mike. Stay cool, it will break soon.

Damn. Just like the old days.....Laying in the driveway under someone's truck at midnight, spinning wrenches by flashlight, working on junk.....

We're on the road @ 5AM in the morning to head north to Badlands ORP for some wheelin'. My buddy has a 2000 XJ Jeep that he bought totaled, then rebuilt the body, jacked it up 5", put a ton of "stuff" on it, and turned it into a decent vehicle (for a Cheep Jerokee...:D) Welp. He was loaded up and ready, drove over to our place, and was gonna "camp" in our driveway so he'd already be here come time to leave in the morning. On the way, he had a common malady for Heeps......A brake line rusted out and busted. No rear brakes......So. We've been crawling around replacing the line, bleeding brakes, etc...Another good friend opened up the Advance Auto store he manages to get us a line and enough fluid. My garage fridge is now void of beer. Now to get showers and a few hours of sleep before the 160 mile drive to run down a few trees. :burnrubber:

Between here and where we're going, they're experiencing severe flooding. 7" of rain in one area.:rain: It's dry here (so far) and DUSTY dry where we're headed.

We have 14 vehicles lined up for tomorrow. A little of everything. 2 XJ's, a new Rubicon, 2 Xterra's, 3 Tacoma's, an F150, a brand new Tundra, and a few others. Many are bone stock. :mudding:

    Better get some shut eye!

    Very nice.
Will spend more time going forward then just staying and twisting. We use to have a lot of camaro's in the area and we use to measure HP and hookup by seeing if the right rear roof was buckled. If it was then it was a car to respect. No one put bars in their cars.

Yes I know about the Bodine brothers.
We are sched to run the Glen in Oct.
Been there many times. New pavement will be interesting.
The first time I went it was so emotional for me I just sat in the car and cried.
Unless you understand, it can't be explained.

    Nice story Mike.
    Thanks for sharing it....

Morning all, I envy you Blue, wish I was heading out.
Gotta clean up the garage and other honey-dos. Might actually go wash the car, before the family wakes up.
