I had the update done and my R to D delay is gone!! The service guy said he didn't know about it, but I gave him the print out of the tsb so he could give it to the tech and had him note my service record.

He said they performed the tsb. There was no sticker under the hood, but I reviewed the footage from my dash cam and they did do it. Loving the truck now!!

I bought from Holman also, I'm near Hammonton. I got resistance when I bought the truck and asked to have the transmission fluid checked and was given a hard time also. They acted like nothing was ever reported on that issue. They kept it over night and said they did the check but I have my doubts. I do know they were kind of hostile to me because I kept questioning their procedure because the answers they were giving were elusive. They said they put 1/2 quart in and 1/2 quart came out. I was hoping they would be a little better to me when I go for my 5000 mile service and ask for the TSB but seeing they gave you a problem I'm starting to have doubts. If they do hesitate I plan to just tell them I'll have my service work done somewhere else and leave.

Got the TSB done this past Wednesday. I got no push back at Toyota of South Florida. Explained the symptoms then showed the TSB. Took a bit of time but I also went at peak. After a few days of driving even a small trip I can say its been great. Picks up better and runs smoother in my opinion. Definitely the truck we should have gotten from the start. Better late than never. I'm happy.

They are horrible there I can't believe they are rated one of the top Toyota dealerships in the area.I also contacted them about.resetting my TPM they.said 197.00 dollars to do the reset. There claiming aftermarket tire preasure sensors don't work on the 2016 Tacomas.

I had my TSB done Friday with my 5K service. With the driving over the weekend all I can say is it a lot smoother and my R-D delay is gone.

When I called the service adviser to set the service visit up, I mentioned a TSB for the transmission. He asked what issues I was having and I told him. When I called back to confirm the TSB, he said he had researched it and read to correct TSB number to me. Toyota of Dallas did a great job on this.

Not me, but I believe someone mentioned Elk Grove as a service department that knew the issues and didn't push back at all.

From Hammonton and bought mine in Vineland. They said they would do TSB when I bring it in for 5K service.

Had mine done this weekend during the 5K maintenance at Toyota of Rock Hill and just driving around town I've noticed a major difference. The transmission is much tighter and acceleration from stop lights is much improved. I have not noticed the delay going from R->D and the skip I felt coming out of 3rd gear appears to be gone. I commute about 60 miles round trip per day so it will be interesting to test cruise control and gas mileage this week.

    More to come!

Here is a copy of the window sticker with VIN. I don't see anything on it to match up with the TSB. Does anyone see where my VIN matches, anything on the TSB?

In vin characters in positions 4,5,6,7,8 which is the Vehicle Desciptor Section, must be an exact match to one of the several vds listed on the TSB. If not then your truck is not affected.

Have an appointment to get mine flashed. I have P and R to D delay, as well as delayed upshift in cruise. I also experience what feels like dead pedal at times. Very slow to respond to input from a stop in gear. Really hoping this helps that.
