@98tacoma27 FYI someone left a comment on your profile page regarding x-site scripting in 2015.
Please look into that and let some of the other mods know. Cross-site scripting can create big headaches and complaints if left unchecked.

I'm in Mechanicsburg, but denied the extra leaf since my AAL was working perfectly at the time.
Something go wrong or just looking for advice?

You talking about the recall that came out right after the frame recall?

Yes very wrong! These 4 plys were not engineered properly. My old 3 plys hold weight better. Toyota keeps trying to blame my lift kit. But its the stock springs sitting on a block. No different than sitting on the axle. If our TRD truck's are capable of hauling 6500 lbs then why was i on the bump stops when hauling 3500 lbs on a tandem axle trailer? If i can get this image to upload. I did this comparison at the Toyota dealership with just 4 people standing in the bed of my truck (4 ply springs) and the other truck (3 ply springs)

Yes. Mine were replaced with my frame and i was told it was a Band-Aid until they came out with a fix. Few months ago i got the letter stating no further work would be done. This is when i started calling Toyota corporate. PhotoGrid_1466689270943.jpg

Yes i know. I also know how to load over axles. And correct drop hitch so trailer is level

Here is another instance. Coming home from philly airport down turnpike. 4 people in my truck, and Luggage loaded in my 5ft bed. Full, but the soft tonno cover closed easily. 4 people and bed full of luggage (luggage can't exceed 300lbs) i was hitting the bump stops on the drive home at high way speeds. Tell me how these springs cant even hold that weight?!

    Eh... Hm

Mine where replaced. But I haven't had a problem. Then again I also don't tow. But I have had significant weight in the bed of the truck.

Anyone else at Mid-Atlantic Overland Festival? I'm stuck working remote (from the field to the south) so I can't go say hi to everyone.

Mine were done with the frame. It was a 3 leaf+the overload. It sat pretty low before, I was on the bump stops with a split, stacked and dry load of firewood only loaded to the rails before. Sits about 1" high and hold a heavy load now easily with a 3" aal.

Kinda disapointed I didn't grab a picture, but I spotted him last second on 611, couldn't get a good spot to see who it was, SWB lifted, cap, some massive decal across the back panel of the bed. Looked good. He honked and waved.. I was really hoping we'd catch the red light. :pout:

Your leafs are fucked either way. They're WAY negatively arched. Looks like someone put a couple pallets of bricks in your bed.
Btw, the 4 Ply should just be the normal 3 Ply with the TSB leaf added.

Took the trans skid off this week tried to flatten it out after the Toyota takeover kinda bent it. Tried running it over with the truck but that didn't work. So I used our forklift at work bent it almost perfect. Picked up some angle gonna burn on tomorrow to beef the skid up a little. Maybe burn the shock resi mounts on so I can ditch the Zipties. Few odds and ends to get buttoned up before the end of the month.

It's fun. It's not rausch. Not very big. But the trails are fun. And the guys that put the event on are cool. They are having a event the end of this month too but the roasting on the rocks ones is usually better cuz the get a whole big for food. Here's the flyer for the other event. image.jpg
