Restocked the fridge

 

New chicken lays green eggs...

 

With all that water in there where are you going to put the beer?

 

Joke all you want but I have never woke up the next day with a headache! That alone keeps me coming back

But don't think I wont drink something else if it is offered....

 

Just made a batch of Pickled Eggs, Ill pop them open in about a month.

 

Well, according to some of these beer poets, if it's not overpriced craft beer with some "catchy" name on it, it's water. Nice choice.

 

What's your recipe?

I got one of them, let me find a picture or ill go put it on my truck an take a picture. i have a 55ton shackle 52 pounds. Works good on them ford guys

 

I just wing it most of the time. However its usually Vinegar, Garlic (fresh or granulated), Onion (fresh or granulated), some form of heat (Jalapeno, Serrano, Slap Yo Momma, Chipotle powder, etc.), salt, pepper and tad of something sweet. I like a dash of nutmeg the best, however have done, sugar (brown or white), cinnamon and molasses.

I throw all my ingredients together in a pot and let them simmer for at least 30 minutes. After the brine is done Ill let it sit till cool. If your using fresh garlic, onions and peppers cut some and place at the bottom of the jar for extra flavor and goodness. At this point depending on my mood I either ladle the brine out, leaving the spices at the bottom of the pot, or I just pour it straight into the jar spices and all. Which is what I did this last time. I like to let them sit for at least a month before opening. I've let them sit up to a year before.

If you want to take a short cut and not have to boil the jar(s) after you add the brine, just add the brine when its still pretty warm/hot and cap. It will seal itself that way as well.
