    Hey all,

I got a quote for $1165 for 5 new KO2 with install, balance, and tax. Thoughts? What are y'all paying to have this done?

I don't think that is a bad price for 5. I paid about 850 for 4 with balance, install, TPMS, etc.

Most people paying about 200 to 210 per tire after tax for the better deals that I've seen. Your deal sounds good.

Got mine for $200 a piece, but that doesn't include install, and I lived close enough to a Tire Rack distro center to pick them up. So no shipping cost on that. Yours sounds like a pretty solid deal!

Discount tire has dropped the prices on the 265/70/17 load C K02s to $198 a piece.

Best deal I found was at www.4wheelparts.com for $830 including shipping and VA state tax. Also includes a $50 4 Wheel Parts gift card.

The wheel and tire combo in this thread looks pretty good. Anyone using wheel spacers to get a better stance?

    17x7.5 is pretty anemic looking.

Yes, I have the Spyder Trax 1.25" spacers. It is a huge improvement. However, beware that some places will not touch your wheels with spacers installed (if that matters to you). I found out the hard way but I don't mind too much since I do most of my maintenance myself.

Do you mean like Discount Tire? Is it hazardous? I've heard it can wear out bearing but hell I doubt much faster than normal wear.

I have heard mixed reviews on Discount Tire. Some of them will and some won't so I would at least ask before having work/servicing done. I bought my tires at Costco. When they removed my stock wheels, they saw the spacers and stopped work. They said company policy states they cannot touch wheels with spacers installed. However, since they already had the driver's side front and rear removed, and had to swap over the TPMS they made an exception and completed the work. The funny part is the tech told me just to remove the spaces when I wanted the wheels rotated and bring the truck in....really?? If I have to remove the wheels to remove the spacers, I will just rotate them myself! LOL.... Bottom line, ask ahead of time before having your wheels serviced. I have heard the same about the bearings....not concerned.

Clean with Meguiars crystal car wash separately from truck.
After drying with microfiber I finish with Chemical Guys Matte detailer.
Works well and actually might try CG Matte car wash.
The detailer doesn't leave a greasy shine.

I really like this combo set up (17" TRD Pro wheels and BFG KO2 265/70R/17). I went to Costco to check the price last night ( $915 for 4 tires plus install and balancing, and switch TPMS). He told me that there are 6 and 10 ply available for 265/70R/17 tires. Any of you guys put 6 ply on your Tacoma? 6 vs 10 Ply? Thanks guys!

    That's expensive

I paid 811.00 for 4 tires ko2 mounted and balanced with TPMS sensors at the dealership near me. Also I went with 275 70 17

    I'm running the 6 ply.
im running the 6 ply. I think the 10 ply is overkill on a Tacoma. Just more wear on the truck pushing the extra weight of the tires too.. my .02
