I know this is an old post; however, I am interested in the Vision 399 Fury wheels. What size, offset and backspacing did you go with? Thanks.

 

I would love any details you can provide, including the paint. Did you remove the trims before painting, or leave them in place? Did you add any kind of protective coat after the paint? etc.

im back. yes remove the trim. i like how toyota did the trim,pretty easy to remove. keep in mind this can be alot better,ok. wash trim and wipe down with acetone,let dry,hit with 3 coats of blue,dry in sun. i did not use clear-will when i redo them. steering trim color off because i used a primer. this is the paint used. dang near close. dont be in a rush like i did!

here is a link to the wheels I bought, these are the normal ones and not the blue tint. same exact wheels. they had zero offset and 25mm offset, but I was told the 25's would hit/rub. each wheel is different, so zero offset on these might be different on another set.

I stuck an old $50 yard sale a/c in this 24' x 24' over 12 years ago. Quit last week so got a new bigger one with timer and it is freakin awesome. Every day after work its already chillin in the garage. Best money spent besides the garage and the overhead heater of course. It is my man cave fully equipped with compressor, overhead 12" i-beam, fridge, microwave, wifi, computer and surround with dvd. I love my garage nearly as much as my Tacoma. Electricity does run me about $70 a month for the amenities but well worth it. Keeps me out of trouble.

 

Update the K & N rocks. From 4 mile trip from gas station at 35-40 mph my mpg looks greatly improved. Multiply x 1.033 for 1" taller tires. Happy with performance, throaty sound and apparent better mpg. Removed air dam too. Will see how mpg do this week.

 

Just a couple norms, factory all weather bed and cab mats, 35% front side window tint, dipped grill, opt 7 led headlights, nokya hyper lime yellow led fogs.

 

Went out along some rough forest road/jeep tracks around Mt. Hood. I've only had it for a little over a week, but I just couldn't stand how clean it was.

Saved up and finally got me some new wheels and tires...

 

It's between Bennett Pass Rd and Lookout Mountain on the eastside of hood. It's a beautiful drive, and has enough roughish sections to make it fun.
