    I had a similar need about a year ago with my pup in the back. The rear window opened too far and she would go completely out, so I had one of those round fiberglass driveway marker rods, cut it to the length I wanted so the window would only open about three inches so it let air in, but kept her in her spot. Even took a little piece of electrical tape to make a tab on the fiberglass so I could grab it and lift it out of the track whenever I needed the window to open full width.
