Leveling a 4x2 TRD Sport

Anyone know of any leveling kits out there for a 4x2 2016 TRD Sport? BDS, Pro-comp and Low range off road will not work.

 

I'm not sure why they wouldn't work. As far as I know, suspension setup is the same for TRD Sport 4x4 and 2x4. The only thing that several manufacturers have mentioned is that their setup will only work for 6 lug. Both TRDs Sorts have 6 lug as far as I know. I could be mistaken, though. Someone will come along soon enough and correct me if I'm wrong.

Just curious, who told you they won't work?

 

I have ProComp Nitro on mine. Works just fine. Picked it up a 4 wheel parts.

Had my tire shop install it and have had it on for about 3 months now. No problems at all even though it says does not fit TRD models.

 

@DRJ1014 Do u have any pics of ur truck with that kit? Im planning to do the same but would love to see how it look. Also, can i use bigger tire like 295/60r20 or do i have to do any other mods to fit? thank you

 

Why put spacers on such a beautiful and expensive truck? Start off with 5100's at a minimum. Just never understand why people do hockey puck lifts. Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road will help you out with a lot better choices than that

So do I, my Mall Crawling Princess barely goes over sand. But "Buy Once Cry Once."

 

Bilstein 5100s are $90 each and a 1" rear lift kit is also $90 so $270 for a true suspension upgrade so why pay even more than that for "the look"?

Here is my truck with a moderately priced lift. OME 887's on 5100's with an ICON 1.5 3 leaf progressive AAL with treat ICON 2.0 shocks, and Camburg Ball Joint type UCA's. Barely goes over sand or leaves.

I'm running 285 70 17. Anything bigger is going to need some trimming. Also you have to worry about the wheel offset, I'm using stock trd pro 4runner wheels so I have 0 rub with no cutting but people with my same setup with different wheels have had rubbing issues.



Honestly, 20s don't go on a Tacoma. 18 are the max I would do. Truck just doesn't look right with 20s. Bigger tires are what you want.

I would go with a suspension setup like suggested. I only have the kit on mine because its a company truck and it gets replaced every 2 years. If it was my own truck, I would do the suspension the correct way.

Dont think you will be able to. Tires are pretty close already.
