badlands1.jpg badlands2.jpg badlands3.jpg badlands4.jpg badlands5.jpg badlands6.jpg Sleepy morning! I'm still tired from yesterday. We left home @ 5AM and drove 4 hours in a monsoon rain. Just as we got to where we were going 4-wheeling, we drove out from under the clouds. It hadn't rained there in 3 weeks, and we fought dust all day long. Then after a long day on the trails, we drove home.....in the rain.....

We went to Badlands off road park in Attica Indiana. It's an abandon sand and gravel quarry. Much fun with a VERY diverse group. We had 6 FJ Landcruisers, 4 Tacoma's, a Tundra, and a 4Runner....Then a brand new F150 that tried to knock over a rock with his passenger side door...(ouch) A Range Rover, an Xterra, 2 Jeep XJ's and a Jeep KJ.

6 of the group split off and went their own way (4 FJ's, 2 Tacoma's) The rest of us spent the day playing in a sand wash, climbing hills, climbing rocks in the quarry, and the last 1/2 hour of the day, 4 of us took off down a creek bed that was BY FAR the most fun of the day. (Jeep KJ, Jeep XJ, FJ Cruiser, and my Tacoma)

Not sure what I expected from Badlands, but it wasn't quite worth the 4 hour drive to get there. OK, but not outstanding.

The yellow FJ was bad ass!

My CO2 tire inflation system worked to perfection. Aired down when we got there, blew 'em back up to 34 before we left, took about 15 minutes!

a little late but good morning! got up at 6 took care of the animals said screw nit and went back to bed. wife and daughter wore me out this weekend run run run the 6 hour drive to philly and touring the mormon temple was interesting and after the 18th of next month it'll be dedicated and closed to the public. then yesterday took her to her church to hear her give an inspirational good bye speach as she will be leaving in a couple of weeks

i try but apparently i'm a grumpy ass most of the time. it's hard sometimes (well most times) to be ecited about things that hold little interest for you and it's not the easiest for me to travel much anymore but it seemed important to them i was a pain in the ass most of the time but i went

tell them you need to pick up by end of the day or you have no way to get to work unless they'll provide you with a loaner car and that you'd like to drop by and approve the repairs

i could do that but also run the risk of pissing someone off and i want my truck fixed right the first time. and if not i will raise hell! until then 1 day [hopefully] of inconvenience for me i can handle. I just dont let shit bother me.
