I definately took some minor damage to my skids, rear diff, wheels and tires.

Yeah, im not really worried about the rim. Wondering what I should do with that tire though. The tires have less than 1000 miles on them so I might replace just that one while I still can.

Not sure if the tire is compromised at all.

 

Doesn't look that bad in the pick. You see any threads? If those BFG's got 10 ply sidewalls it should be fine.

 

When this happened I had them replace both.
The rim is just Aesthetics as long as it's not broken or cracked.
The tire on the other hand.....

I cannot see any threads. They are not BFG's they are the Falken AT3W and they are not 10 ply.

 

What it the sidewall ply?

Theyre SL Load tires.

 

What is SL load?

 

P rated, theyre like 2 or 3 ply I think.

You might want to check.
If planing on rock crawling or whatever caused this you might want to replace it before you get stuck somewhere and very difficult to change the tire

I had toyo at 2's
Ran over something that I could not find and only moved 6 inches or so from my parking spot and sliced my sidewall like a razor knike/ box knife.
I went 10 ply so this didn't again.

 

Yeah, I did that out on White Mountain in Big Bear. Im most likely gonna replace that one tire since it is relatively new. If i replace it now I think I can get away with only buying one since the tread depth isnt going to be much different from the rest of the tires

I dont really know where it happened. I noticed it when I got back to camp.
There was nothing crazy out there but definitely a whole lot of big, sharp rocks, everywhere.

Yeah we were going up slowly, probably because it was our first time up and we did have some traffic since our group was pretty large. I think 11 trucks total.

 

One reason I'm happy my KO2s are E-rated, they handle rock rash and sidewall knicks really well. Not so great for my gas mileage though.
