I wonder how they'd look, but I have a terrible imagination. Has anyone here changed their foglamp lenses to yellow/amber and have pics? Where did you get the lenses and how difficult is it to just swap them out? Shanks a bunch!

If just replacing the lenses, is it an easy process to get at them? Also, any links to where to get them would be awesome, too. :)

I think they are a sealed unit, not sure about replacing just lenses. Laminex film may be best option ?

Not sure you could replace the lens. Bulbs can be replaced however. I just took the fogs out and grabbed a hair dryer and some yellow film.

Ohhhhhh, I was thinking that just the plastic lens could be swapped out for amber ones. I was making it too easy in my head. :angrygirl:

I have some yellow Lamin-X sitting in my room waiting to go over my fog lenses. I love the look of yellow fogs, especially with the MGM paint color. Will definitely take some pics after im done.

I had yellow lense in my red RAV4. It looked stupid. I kept clear lense and bought yellow bulbs for Tacoma

It's fine until they are off...

Pics or details? Mine need redone as the vinyl is starting to show its age. Ive been kicking around the idea of redoing them in metalcast and burying them in about 20 coats of clear. Ive tinted taillights all red with Metalcast before with decent results, Ive just never used the yellow.

So I literally just sprayed 2 light coats on after cleaning lenses with alcohol and haven't had any issues. I actually used the gold metal cast on the chrome bowls for my drls when doing my retrofit as well. My understanding is it will come right off with thinner or acetone as well. I would try just a couple coats and see how you like it. Mine has held up awesome. If you go too thick it will get cloudy though so start thin. Learned on my last car.

I had the same question, but I went ahead with the yellow and I like it, I do think it somewhat depends on the color of your truck
