Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Ouch...what broke?

If you are looking to save on cash, this is an option for lodging.

    http://www.moab-utah.com/moabrim/

It's an RV park with tent sites and a shower house. They also have small cabins with mini kitchens. I've stayed there in one of the deluxe cabins.

My biggest expense will be taking a week off of work. Owning/running a small business has no vacation time. I have never taken a vacation in 20 years of doing this.

Been wanting to go for years though.

It was an upper control arm.

I'm pretty sure I did it crossing the golden crack. I don't have lockers yet.
It was the only opstacle I needed lockers for. I'm surprised I didn't break a cv axle but I had an extra axleimage.jpg

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
Post a link in TN thread. I assume there would be a point along the way for others to meet up with your caravan.

I'm going to lurk in the thread but doubt I could make the trip this time.

Best part was the commentary! Watched on my iPhone, so couldn't tell. Did you have factory or armored bumpers?

hahaha yeah my 6 year old was so worried i wasn't going to make it and they were going to have to leave me behind

they are factory bumpers. I wasn't really worried about them. during that trail my wife was like "i know now why you need bumpers" so I'm looking for armor now

Depending on when ya'll are heading out there I'd be interested. I'm driving out to Colorado for two weeks of skiing and off-roading in March. A late summer trip would be sweet to go on before my deployment.

We need to set a time down for when we plan to go so we can all plan work accordingly. It will be extremely hard for me to take a full week+ off between late June to September, but I may be able to. That is Proposal season for government contractors and we are constantly busy. If that's when the consensus of best time to go is, I can see what I can do.

So I've been talking to a shipping company, and I'm told that hauling a couple motorcycle type items each on our trip to Moab could yield us about 2k each, profit. Something simple could seriously offset the cost.

Truck services would be awesome, but mileage would suffer greatly. Having a trailer could also mean we could hauls someone's ride back also if needed. I'd buy a trailer if the profit would pay for it.

The other option is in May, between spring semester and summer semester.

That's probably my best option, before proposal season hits full swing.
