If you hold it down at a stop instead of just pressing it, is there a difference in dash light indicator? How would I know for sure that the traction control is completely disabled?

I've definitely pressed it before at a stop, but never held it. Time to turn on ECT PWR after work and see if I can have more fun than usual.

Yeah..as Smitty says... push and hold...I think a light on dash will tell you it's OFF.... then hit the ECT button also. Then "give her shit".... It's the best you is gonna get... Always best to start out on wet or icy pavement then hit the dry pavement.... it will burn rubber..!! :burnrubber:

Man Toyota doesn't make this very clear. So I understand if you don't press anything you're in "Trac" mode, which also uses some kind of engine-breaking or something in addition to brake modulation to aid traction control. If you press it once, you get the "Auto LSD" mode which relies strictly on ABS-modulation for traction control (no "engine-breaking").

So, which one is better in the snow? That's probably the only time I'll ever use this button anyway ...

TRAC Mode (no press) or AutoLSD (one press) for the snow!?

Best in snow....=.. Don't do nuttin'... it defaults to Trac control and all the other things to keep you on the road....

If I come to a snowy corner and "goose" her to bring the rear end around like my '06 would do... The '16 will not let me do it and applies the brakes, etc and keeps me straight.... (I told my wife that that's the MAN button).. do not ever touch it.. That way she can't bush my truck... Hopefully..
Go out and experiment man... you'll then know what to expect..:burnrubber::thumbsup::canada:

Update: I held the button down and my tires actually spun a little when I took off after work (on a closed course). Wowwee

Did not look nearly as cool as this: :burnrubber:
