Played at Pismo on Sunday. Had a blast. Played with all the TRDOR features, but it was a lot more efficient to turn off all the traction BS, lock in the differential, and go.

I took my buddy off-grid camping around the Mt. Jefferson/Mt. Hood Wilderness this weekend. I did some fun, slightly technical off roading (for me) and all of the pictures my buddy took sucked! Here's what I got:

You all live life dangerously! Out here in PA, you'd wake up soaked, be it by rain or the morning dew or a drunk co-camper, without a rain fly!

That ones on my list. Did you access it from the west or east side of the lake!?
    The view is awesome!!!
We were at Chinook lake on Monday for more Kayaking.. <-- thats taking up too much of my off-road time.
I assume you come down through the chain lakes Cowboy trail hwy? Beautiful drive.

Ya, we usually make 2 or 3 Fernie trips a summer and always come down cowboy trail, taking the highway the whole way sucks.

I accessed from Crowsnest Provinvial Park from the west. The route is super easy and wide enough to not stick scratch a new truck. There's one pretty steep bouldery hill climb (with an easy route around) up the pipeline right of way. I came down it but didn't go up, looking back though it's probably do-able.

There's a gate 70% of the way up that's chained shut and secured with a bolt (not actually locked), so bring a couple of crescent wrenches with you.

Ya, LONG drive to Fernie, break it up with some off road! lol

So you entered just after the last lake before the b.c. border?
I took that trail a few years ago in my cousins old Bronco. I remember that boulder hill you speak of.

Was gonna take the trial to the top (good to know about the gate) and continue the trail and exit to the east.

One day we will run into each other!

Ya, enter right by Summit Lake. There's a paved rest stop area with a little trail to the right as soon as you pull in and you have to duck in there to bypass a locked gate. After that it's smooth sailing.

    Oh!
A little more off-road instead of HWY would be to pull into a small turn off just after the lake before summit lake.
You'd essentially be above the HWY on a trail that meets up with where you entered. (if that makes sense..)

Over here in the PNW, it's rare that we get to tent camp without a rainfly on... and it's a bit of a gamble still. Gotta take advantage of those rare clear, warm nights.

Sorry if you've gotten this question before, but where did you get your grill and what's the name of it? Love the grill and the letters.
