Had my ATF checked and it was fine. TSB is for the transmission shift issues, cleared up a lurch in the truck when I went from P to R or P to D. Also seems to have a bit more oomph behind the accelerator pedal, I don't have to put my foot all the way to the floor to pass someone on the highway.

Thanks man. You're from Biloxi? Love it down there. Wife is from Gulfport, can't wait to take my truck down for a visit to the in-laws!

Yeah, We've been all over the state but we're back here now. Where are you? Keep up with the issues people are having here because it might help when you go in for service. Hell, my wife works at the dealership and I end up telling the techs about things before they get it from Toyota. I was asking about the transmission update a week before they got it. Most are problem free but there are some legit concerns brought up on here.

I'm from Jackson. I'll definitely be keeping up with this site and cross my fingers that I fall in the "most are problem free" group.

TSBs will apply if his truck falls into the VIN range and exhibits one or more symptoms. They generally don't carry over from generation to generation though so leaf spring TSBs for the 2nd gen won't work for the 3rd gen even though they're the same parts.

However many times it's up to how the dealer interpets how it's written and for now it just lists the 16s.

If you buy a TRD PRO, it's pretty darn close already.

Never in my house, and I can afford it. Might even go out of Toyota altogether.

I thought the PRO was only available in Extra Cab? Interesting. I wonder if that means a LongBed with the Tech package (Moonroof) is also available?

OK, perhaps it's the longbed not available or perhaps it's the sunroof not available. Besides the price it seemed to be lacking these other features - at least according to pre-release info. But I gave up on that one a long time ago.

Congrats on the 2017!! I have a similar configuration '16 and there were very few issues. So few that I actually would rather keep the '16 than risk getting a '17 with more issues. So they're not all bad :)

Well he said 1 month and other people backed that up. I'll chime in when it actually shows-up.
