That's a negative. It's not about the length of the bed, it's about adequate fasteners. Lb or sb there's still a front middle and rear. The engineering objective is to not allow for any weak points.

I'll crawl under later today, yeah makes sense long bed or short bed has the same amount of bolts. It's such an annoying metal slapping together sound, every time I turn left. Cue Zoolander reference. "I CANT TURN LEFT!"

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Not in my opinion. Theres that gnarly obstacle course for rock crawlers

I saw that. I thought about posing on obstacles but I was in a hurry to get home. Broke the cardinal rule of wheeling alone and didn't tell anybody I was going. Was worried somebody would try to get ahold of me.

Men when you're there you're often VERY far from alone. By sunset all the mud boggers come climbing out. Fat ticket to be in the park after dark.

Yeah I just meant that nobody I know knew I was there. I feel bad if people are trying to contact me and don't know I'm out of service area. Mostly just my folks and girlfriend are the only people I tell.

I'm with @dtaco06 cell phone goes on airplane when I leave for a trail and only comes off if I need GPS for some reason. Although I'm horrible at checking my phone these days, too much to remember too little reason why.

Mine often does as well. Miller Jeep was a dead zone until we started back and we barely had enough for GPS so we could track the roads and get reoriented. Lesson learned: download areas to offline maps just in case.

I've always got this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that I need to check all my bushings. At least on the Tacoma, I know the body mount and radiator mount bushings decay fast. One day, gotta go through and replace em all.. one day.. lol.

I got my tires from their ebay store as well. I got a few gashes in two tires, one went flat on a recent Pilot Rock run. Took them into the store (Lakewood shop) and they said the integrity of both tires are still fine, and the reason for the flat was I aired down too much and got dirt between the wheel and rim. They cleaned and filled up the flat. Seems to be holding air fine, but haven't taken on the dirt yet. While I'm happy I don't have a flat anymore, I'm bummed they wouldn't replace my tires with the gashes in them.

Like @dtaco06 said, they will only replace them if they can't fix them. HOWEVER, I've also heard that if they feel like you abused your tires off-road, they won't honor the replacement.

Before I went to the shop for the flat, I called the 800 number and was straight up with the rep that the tire went flat while off-road, he said that probably invalidated the cert.

I've read how people have saved loads of money by getting the cert, but I'm concerned they'll use the "abuse" accusation when I get an irreparable flat on a trail and end up forking out cash for a replacement.

I went to americas tire in signal hill. They were no help at all. Wouldnt sell me certificates, even on the good tires, even though they are less than 30 days old. They looked at me like I was crazy for driving on it with that small chunk missing. They wanted to sell me a tire for 75$ more than i originally paid. So i left.

huh, that's a shame. I've had nothing but good experiences with them, granted I've mostly only visited the one in Valencia.

I may take my truck out there when I really do need a replacement. Would be cheaper than buying a new tire, and I could take it up to Gorman or Rowher right after to break it in!

How low did you go at pilot? I find 18 to be a sweet spot most times. 16 and less and losing a bead becomes more the concern. 14 and lower is good when in a recovery situation trying to get unstuck but I would definitely air up a bit before continuing on the trail once recovered.

I thought I was at 18, but I think my gauge was off because the ride felt very loose. Noob mistake. I really need to get a better pressure gauge.
