Pardon the dumb question though,
I noticed on one of the front shocks that there is one with a gold ring on the bottom below the shocks. Is that the trim packer for the driver side to compensate for the taco lean?

 

That isn't a dumb question at all. That is the trim packer so that coilover assembly will go on the drivers side.

I am so glad everything made it to you safe and sound. Don't forget to send pictures when it is all on the truck!

It's always fun to compare the suspension on the roads you are used to taking. I can't tell you how many times I have turned my Tacoma around just to see how it feels again and again and again.
