Kingsford standard briquettes, minion method to a tee. About 8 ounces of wood chunks over two loadings in the first hour, just sitting them on the burning briquettes. I'm sure there's more to know... School me :D :help:

Sometimes after 10 hours of babysitting the WSM I think about a pellet rig, but then I go to bed and forget about it until next time when the same thing happens. I want to CONQUER, damnit! :)

Can't. I'm too busy getting a good nights sleep while my food smokes away at an even, dependable temperature. Using hickory and apple wood pellets.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
Give me a stick burner with a cold IPA any day. Even though it's just a cheep, thin metal one from Lows, and I have a hard time holding a temp for an extended period, I love it. I have plans of buying a better one some day, but then I go and buy parts for the truck..... It's a vicious cycle.

Ha, one of my best buds and I have this debate ongoing. He loves the whole deal surrounding smoking, I just love the food. The Saturday night before the 4th he ask me to come sit with him on a smoke, I said sure. He lives just down the street. I told him he was welcome to drop by my house on that night (Thursday before the 4th, the day he ask) as I was planning a smoke. I then told him the only stipulation was that he be very quite, because I'd be in the bed sleeping.

Yep. To be honest back when I used charcoal and stick burners, "sometimes" by the time the food was ready I'd be sick of smelling it. To the point I may eat something else as my next meal before reaping the rewards of smoking.

Same here I grab some beer and go sit around the pellet pooper while she does her thing. Just because I don't have to mess with it doesn't mean I don't get to drink some beer and talk to friends.

Are you talking logs, or chunks?

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, stick always seems harder to control. That's why I'm alright with charcoal and chunks for now :)
