I have a Supercharged 4 banger. It is the same application as a v6.

Do you have a pic by chance under the hood? I know that itll be different cause you have glass fenders and all but I want to see how it attaches to the stock air box... I also really want the safari snorkel unfortunately not the airflow one. Just sticks out far.

The airboxes are different from 4 cylinder to 6 cylinder... I know how but there is different plumbing you need to do.

Safari one is a rip off in price.
Also limits the amount of Airflow.
Safari cannot be used with a supercharger as well.

What do you guys think about this? I read there is problems in heavy, wet snowfall. What if right where the plumbing goes into the air box, I have a door that can close and then the air is drawn from the normal location. Only for use during heavy snow. Think this is possible?

That could be cause for leaks when the snorkel is functioning as a snorkel... They make attachments for snow Im pretty sure NYCO has one something that won't allow that stuff in

Damn peer pressure is killing me.

Does the connection pipe routing in the engine bay change? My passenger side engine bay is maxed out because of the Aux Battery.
    IMGP6607.jpg

Can someone show pics on how the connection is routed inside the engine bay to the outside plenum?

It goes into the factory airbox tubing under the hood that goes into the opening at the fenderwell. Still uses the factory airbox in the factory location

It will be in a negative pressure zone while driving at speed and won't draw enough air to supply to the engine. Donaldson makes pre-filters that work well.

Never had an issue in the snow after three seasons. Like others said, run a prefilter if you're concerned about it.
Airflow specifically says to not rotate the intake for speeds above like 20mph (I can't remember the exact mpg).
