Looking for a shop in the OC, CA area to finish my Tacoma back half. Need some fab, plumbing, and wiring done. Have parts, just no time. Send me suggestions, I'm rarely online anymore

Craftsmanship looks fantastic. My only concern would be dirt and water collecting inside that panhard/3rd link bracket.

Had the same though, other setups I have seen have a drain port at the bottom, none here... May just use a filler and seal it off to prevent any moisture or dirt buildup that would not be good for the axle.

How many inches of travel are you looking to pull in the rear?

Well comparing a similar setup that you can get from trail gear it quotes "this kit with long travel shocks allows for more then 30" of rear axle articulation" Thats with 16" shocks. I don't think I'll have anywhere near that as I am keeping my bed and not doing crazy through the middle of the bed shock mounts. I would be happy if it ends up pulling 16-20" to keep of with with the fronts 14"

SNF is up there right ?
You know what you could do, you could weld in a piece of plate only an inch or so below the top of the tabs. It would eliminate the entire cavity and all you'd be dealing with is a little bit of dirt and grit building up in the top inch and a half at best.

So back to this. What size are you 2nd gen guys getting? I need one pretty back and saw a low profile 2 ton at harbor freight with some serious lift height

I just bought a 2 ton for my truck.

I have a steel 3 ton at the shop and at my house, as well as an aluminum 2.5 ton at my house. I bought the 2-ton for my truck. The 2.5 has a little more lift, but once I setup the riser on the 2 ton it'll lift more than high enough. I would of gone 2.5 ton, but I'm trying to keep the weight down where I can and I wanted the slightly smaller footprint.

Do you have a set of canoe style arms for it? How much side to side movement are you getting through my the travel with the shorter panhard bar. I've got mine laid out to fit the widest panhard bar possible, wondering how much difference it made

The second-gen that I set up with my daily driver kit was as wide as possible. The axle side mount was as close to the outside of the housing is I could get it, as well as the frame side panhard mount. Through almost 20 inches of travel I had minimal deflection. That was with a 12-inch coil over.

That's how mine is laid out , just with longer coilovers. I'll be happy if I can pull 22" out of it

my question about the CO's yesterday was assuming those tube links in the photo are permanent, thought you were doing a crawler style set up...are you doing canoe style links ?

A 14 inch coilover or larger would have came up through the bed and defeated the purpose of a bolt in low profile set up. Jason wanted to keep the bed as clean and as original as possible. It turned out fantastic.

Yea I started with 120 feet and right now I have two full sticks and about half of another, plus I got like 30 feet of 1.25" for the seat bars.... But your absolutely right how fast it gets used!! I've only had like 2 tubes I had to redo too and they were lil guys

Getting 20" out of a 12" coilover on a dcsb is quite a feat in itself.

I'm running 16" coilovers and 18" bypasses. I'm hoping to get 22" bumped and strapped with 3-4 more inches of available travel if I decided to ditch the bed down the road when I buy another tow rig
