    Plenty of Toyota trucks before yours have done a lot of utility things, the four before my 16 worked just fine doing utility things for years.

    You just used the wrong tool for the job, carry a 12v compressor to run off the battery next time, they work with all kinds of utility trucks. ;)

    This. 5 amp draw at home might be 400ish watts, but not on a car.

    14.4 volts x 3 amp limit = 43.2 watts. It would only run a CFL or LED light bulb lol

    Homes operate on low amp, high voltage... cars are the opposite, low voltage and high amperage. 14.4 volt (typical) alternators that output 140+ amps. Or for the big stereo guys, 200+ amp alternators.

    If only modern day vehicles had a spare tire... (Ignore the sporty cars with run flats and no spares).

    Except that it is 120v, not 14.4. And it's clearly marked 400w

    so you are bitching because you couldn't read :D lol.
    your comp probably pulls almost 10amps so you would need a 1200w inverter.

    This is wrong. Watts = volts * amps.

    or

    amps = watts / volts

    amps = 400 / 120 = 3 1/3 amps.

    That compressor is going to draw much more than that, particularly on startup.

    This is ALSO wrong. The voltage output from the inverter is 120vac. 400 watts = 3.33 amps.

    If you measure the INPUT to the inverter, you would see 14 volts or so (with engine running) and drawing maybe 30 amps. In any case, the OUTPUT of the inverter is 400 watts at 120 volts AC.

    Probably depends. My MAC power supply only requires 1.5A.

    Only picture I could find on short notice.
    Just did the spare tire, didn't want too much attention. Got quite a few thumbs up at gas stations and such.

    Startup current on an inductive motor load is much higher than a resistive load such as a coffee pot. The run current of the motor is much less than startup surge.
    If you read, understand and abide by the specs regarding inverter power and towing all will be fine.
    Sort of like the thread last night of the guy towing 9000 lbs !

    If you end up towing a roller skate, please remember that the classic skate causes more drag. Inline skates are more aerodynamic but have more roller resistance.

    In order to tow either properly, you need to lock your rear differential, mount and turn on your go pro, start off slowly, then build to a speed where you can do donuts fast enough that the skate is off the ground. If your differential survives, youll probably have a great YouTube video from the go pro mount.

    That's the only way to tow a skate in this truck.

    This is wrong,

    A classic roller skate with a wider wheel will have more contact patch therefore creating more roller resistance than the more narrow inline skate wheel :devil:
