This stuff happens and there are some shitty dealers that will try to send customers out the door like that. Glad you caught it and hopefully they didn't try to pull a fast one on you. It's all about finding a dealership you trust.. Which is like anything business wise!

Well 1 wheel was damaged so bad that they had to put the Spare on and I didn't catch the other one till I got home from the dealership but called the salesman and they got me 2 different wheels. I can tell a difference between the 2 originals and the 2 replacements though, I imagine the replacements are refurbished wheels.

I let them pull the plastic off and hose it off then t was homeward bound. Next day a real bath, clayed the paint (not as bad as many other new vehicles I've had), didn't need to do much surface prep after the clay so a nice coat of a good sealant and then a coat of good old tree wax.

Geez! They must have hit something hard to mess up the wheels our Tacomas have! I got my wife a new edge and it took a week to mess up the dumb chrome clad 20 inch wheels those come with! She hit a curb and come to find out they are pretty much just plastic coated. They clean up wayyy better than any wheel but never again!

Never mind the fact that mine looked like there literally used sand paper on the hood. It wasn't light swirls from a dirty sponge. It was pretty damn bad. And after their attempts to correct it I just took the keys and went home. It isn't the end of the world, I'm just not having it washed by the dealers anymore. It's simply my prerogative. No one has to agree with me at all. In fact, life will go on either way...

No dude, it literally looks like someone took a handful of gravel and rubbed it back and forth on the hood and then took a belt sander to it for 45 mins

I'm sorry, I forget, you're a troll who loves an argument for the sake of arguing. Carry on.

So I do this with most "bigger " purchases...

I get it. I baby it. I buy protective coverings, cases, etc. I won't let anyone else be in charge of caring for it. Then after the first ding, scratch or whatever I completely accept it for what it is and finally use it like I should.

New laptop? Don't you dare have a drink near by! I need to buy a new case for it so it doesn't get scratched. Fast forward 5 months later after I dented a corner when I dropped it and you'll see me throwing it across the room onto the couch or tossing it in a backpack that doesn't have any padding on the bottom.

I do this will cell phones probably worst of all. Buy a screen cover, Kevlar reinforced case, delicately place it on my seat or in my cupholder and I'll be damned if that cupholder has keys in it! Nothing's going to scratch the precious. 6 months later, I've scratch the screen cover and nicked the corner. You'll see me toss it to a buddy, over a pool, on concrete to show him a hilarious video of some guy tripping a bitch who tried to push her way through a turn style.

I'm almost there with my truck.

Don't be fucking with @smitty99, I know a guy that know a guy and they're both Italian, just sayin..

I wash my truck at the car wash, I'm not going to say "its a truck",but I am going to say its a Toyota. I have an MGM and I'm just glad it doesn't have a 2 tone paint job like many of them do.

I hand washed it first .. waited a month and hand washed again then used the BEST Canauba Wax I could find - I think Meguiar's Gold Class Plus Carnauba. I think I did 2 coats about 2 weeks apart. Then nothing but car washes and some mud. Rain still beads up nicely and the truck looks pretty good to me.

Like I said as long as it's not a 2 tone MGM, I'm happy. I don't think the paint was a selling point for this truck, it's actually the worst paint I've seen on a new vehicle .. I've had a few over the years.
