Just the cap. I think it's more than enough protection from bending. I've loaded furnaces and air conditioners without an issue at all

I suppose with just the cap, if you applied enough pressure in a certain spot right in the middle, it might bend. Like dropping a big acetylene cylinder vertically into it. But how is that ever gonna happen? And if it did, you gots bigger issues

Blonde chick goes to a Body Shop in Texas for Serious hail damage.
Dings are all over her shiny pristine Mustang GT.
The Shop Owner looks it over and quotes her $5,000- for repairs.
She tells the shop owner she is tight on cash and is there a DIY for getting the dings out?
Shop owner says "Sometimes it works! Blow air in the tailpipe and they may pop out!"

That afternoon she has her car parked in the open garage...
Her blonde roommate pulls in, to find her mouthing and blowing up the tailpipe.
She asks, "whats your doing down there?"
Blonde girl suggests she is trying to blow the dings out of the mustang and the suggested DIY!...
