Several people have posted in other threads regarding their own 2016 MPG thread. I would read through those. Just scroll down and search for them.

It doesn't seem like many owners have put enough miles on their trucks and have a firm picture of their city and highway MPG.

Well I bought my truck last November and have to admit I have not had it out on an extended road trip until now. Driving was always a mix of city and country with mostly city. Well I am now sitting in Seattle after my obligatory 18 hour drive down from Terrace, BC. to attend the WA State IDPA match. After a 364 mile run from Terrace to Pr. George I managed 30 IMP MPG driving the speed limits. Two more fill ups, one just to top up using only 30 litres, averaged 28.3 IMP MPG. OK I admit having had to pass several times vehicles so the mileage suffered a bit while running the speed up to 140 KM per hour.

All and all I am pretty well pleased with the gas mileage. I recall my 1967 and 1970 VW Beetle never managed more than 30 miles per gallon with a four cylinder 40 horse engine. Hats off to technology running a six cylinder running how many horses....

One thing I did notice gas mileage is best using cruise control at 100K - 110K. After that the fuel begins to flow faster.

All mileage computed by FUELLY based on miles run and litres consumed.

    Take Care

    Bob

For the land of FREEDOM, 25 miles per US gallon. :D

Still very good considering the size of the vehicle. I would stick with US Gallons BUT having spent a lifetime thinking in Imperial Gallons I am not about to switch to litres per 100 Kilometers ( 30 IMP MPG and 25 US MPG = 9.5 litres per 100 miles) or US MPG. A person loses his historical references to what is good or bad mileage. Litres per 100 miles just gives me a headache.

Not sure why you folks don't bite the bullet and "officially" adapt the metric system. Most of your industry had made the change as has your military and medical industries. Takes one generation. My youngest son would not know a foot from a mile, a pound from a doorstop and is a 2rd Class Power Engineer supervising the production of 165,000 lires of Diesel fuel per shift up in Ft. McMurray.

I have yet to work on any U.S. Navy or U.S. Airforce aerospace program not dealing with English units. Even export defense products bound for metric countries are still built using the English system. It works fine, no reason to switch. It would be a logistical nightmare in many aspects to switch.

I suppose the metric system is easier for children to learn initially, but if you can't understand fractions you don't deserve to put a man on the moon.
