Your truck looks like a superhero with a cape now. Why not spend the money on a camper shell?

Text through the internet never gives the right tone, forgive me for coming across rude. I am legitimately curious about the pros and cons versus camper shells and covers.

Visibility, price, storage use, looks, access.

If you dont haul large items, tonneau covers are better. Everything is secured and easy to reach. If you have a camper shell, you have to spend about $400 more to get the hinged windows to be able to access stuff at the front of the bed without climbing in.

A camper shell doesn't fit my needs or wants. For me this is a better option.

I had a broom handle with a screw in hook at the end to reach things when I had a Covermaster truck cap on a '03 Dakota a couple years back.

    Nice..

After looking at your lid I'm really wanting to get a lid for my truck. Trying to hold off till fall... but hey fall is just about here! I'm wanting to get the Undercover SE. Thought about the painted ones like yours but I'm worried it will scratch easy. Don't have that concern with black plastic..
