Honestly wouldn't recommend it though. Material seemed very thin, cant speak for the other colors/options but the "inferno" option isn't close in person.

Just added an edit to the post regarding it, not sure if black would be the same material(seller told me avery or oracle) but the once I recieved is somewhat thin.

 

Im doing something very similar to this with my grill. Except mine will have a grillcraft black polished mesh with an FJ cruiser "Toyota" emblem on it. Looks real clean man.

I ,too, recently got a PRO grill and those Ebay decals in matte black, but I took the letters off of the grill and painted them red and the added the matte black decals. I like it a lot!

 

I have a ? About painting my rusty silver rear bumper. Anyone know good paint to use? Believe it's pretty much surface rust.

Thanks. I like subtle. I did it to match my decal emblems that Cboy808 made for me.

 

The letters are on the grille with double-sided tape just like the side emblems. Each letter has alignment posts. I pushed on the alignment posts, from the back with a screw driver while using a razor blade to release the tape. Paint, retape with emblem tape...done.

 

I didn't realize it was that easy. I might have to give this a try and paint them white with the matte black vinyl like yours. I really like the way it looks better. Thanks for the info.

 

find a local automotive paint retailer and see what they offer in lines of a colormatched base coat clear coat syetem. your going to have to sand it down and insure it is only surface rust. either way see if they have an aerosol can of rust converter and follow the instructions. then prime over that area and sand with at least 400grt paper. then you can paint. or just sand it down and try to find some duplicolor or other good quality aerosol that'll match and paint it. don't forget either way your going to need tape for the black plastic pieces unless you want to remove but they're a pain in the ass

really there's a couple of ways of doing it it just depends on what kinda tools you have access to and how much you want to put into it. it's what i do for a living so i can go into more detail you just need to figure out which route you'd like to take

 

@ChadsPride i've got a second hand set of 5100 struts with eibach coils on the way should have friday but idk when i'll get installed alot going on next week and a half
