How did you remove the map light lenses and rear dome light lens?

These help by not leaving dents when removing the lights/panels

Otherwise a flat head with some tape on the end will suffice. The front map lights you need to stick some tape to the bulbs and pull from the tape to get them out. The rear dome light just pops out.

There is a special place for people who use their fog lights when it is not foggy outside.

You call them fog lights, in California we call them smog lights. Mine are on whenever my lights go on.

Thamks for the info. Have you had any problems since changing to LED's? Have just read some people have had problems after installing LED's, map light and dome light don't turn on when opening the door. ??

Nope, I haven't had any issues with these bulbs. I'm still running them and I just went in for my 10k service. I also took a road trip down to Florida from NC and back with no issues.

Alright, this is going to sound like a stupid question, but what is the desire for LED lights in all of these locations? Honest question. Is it purely aesthetic? Power consumption? Durability/longevity? Brightness/color?

I know LEDs exceed incandescent lamps in those various categories, but what makes you want to go through the trouble and expense? I'm 36 and sort of techie, so it's not that I don't see the benefit I guess, but there's probably one single benefit that must be really desirable that I'm not thinking about. TIA

For me it was mostly asthetic, because it's a new, 2016 truck and I feel like it should have LEDs standard haha, plus I like the way it looks. You also get the added benefit of brighter lights, lights that won't run down your battery as much if you leave them on, and ones with a longer life.

OP do you have a picture of the light output for the lows and highs at night?

I'm also interesting in seeing the light output from the headlights.

I've done HIDs in past autos, but never LEDs for low/high beam. I don't think the cost/output has been quite there yet. Maybe now's the time? I'm still skeptical.

I just ordered the items off your list for the turn signals (front and rear), brake lights, and third brake light. Curious to see if I also get no hyperflash. If I do, I'll grab a resistor. I was looking at this one, but the reviews are less than flattering. I may just wire a resistor into factory wiring, myself.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WFHHUK...TF8&colid=2RMEWI4T058M1&coliid=I1AXNJNMOQY4Q3

They'll be going in my TRD Access Cab. I already have LED license plate lights, reverse, and interior. I have a set of Morimoto HIDs for my low beams on the way from the Retrofit Source already. I'll likely grab LEDs for my high beams soon.

No issues with any of my LEDs, so far, except that I have water leaking into one of my license plate light housings- a known issue. Off to the dealer.

Excellent! Let me know how it goes. You shouldn't need the resistors.

Could we get some shots of the headlight output down the road?

Hey guys, finally got some pics at night of the lights. See below:

Hopefully that gives you a better idea of what they look like. It's tough to photograph haha. They really light up signs and anything reflective at night, especially with the hi beams on. Normally I run with the lows and fogs on since the fogs really fill out the outer edges of your view.

I kinda want to find a better low beam, but these were the only reasonably priced ones I could find that would fit (you need a right angle connector on the bulb). I'll give it a little more research and post what I find here.

Recently installed some Caliraised 3x2 amber pods. Pretty happy with their product. Pictures of them installed, on road with ambers only, ambers+low beams, ambers+ high beams. Thinking about changing my fogs to LED eventually.
