Can you still use the rail system (to secure my cooler)?

 

Nope.....it has full length rails that attach to the bed rails and cover it. But, I dont see why you couldnt drill through these rails to make it work. Also, you will lose usefull bed height inside with it. with my bed mat, I am looking for a storage box no more than 16.5" high. your cooler may be too tall. I looked at a lot of coolers that would fit, and the rtic 45 fits (hopefully) heightwise. 19" tall was too tall, that was the cooler I got rid of. Add some d rings to the bed bolts for more tie downs

but it comes off real easy, 2 bolts at the cab and its free. heavy but easy.
