Anyone ever order from a site called "Armor Tech Off Road"?
Found some items I was going to make myself on there and they're cheaper than what it would cost for me to order materials and make myself....

My sympathies. When we moved we did it with the trucks and a trailer and it took us 5-6 trips, but at least we had someplace to move all of the stuff to.

Probably completely useless things.... but LCA Skids / Gas tank skid (Mostly because while I was out there on Sunday there was a point where I got out of the truck and instead of sitting on a slider I was sitting on the gas tank....)

Man I wish I could find an aftermarket gas tank skid for a 1st gen somewhere, only ones Ive seen are OEM and about $300 :bananadead: Tried scrap yards and nothing matched up.... That was kinda my biggest fear up at Henniker, chose my lines carefully which was good practice but not as much metal-scraping fun!

The front of the skid was held on with two/three bolts, the back bolted onto the strap that holds up the gas tank. Def some funky angles to work out, but it wouldn't be too hard. I was thinking of just bending over and buying the OEM one, then weld strips of plate on the inside to beef it up, then undercoat the whole thing. I like making things, but sometimes I just get so impatient I'd rather shell out to save the hassle :annoyed:

Yea that's why I bought the gas tank skid and the LCA skids... I have a machine shop at my day job and a fab shop at my part time job its just a hassle going back and forth to make adjustments and remeasure stuff.

Looks as though I was too late to the party, and you made your purchase, lol. They make good stuff you'll be happy with all of it.

Is the hitch rated to the same as the stock OEM hitch?

Says DOT class III receiver. I'm surprised they went through all the BS to be able to say that but that's awesome!

To my knowledge its one of the few fabricated bumpers that is actually rated. I think allpro is as well. That was actually one of the reasons I went with them.

That's a big selling point. Most of the fabricated bumpers I'm sure would well exceed the requirements for getting the DOT stamp but not many take the time to go through the process.

Guess I'll go with them in the spring time for a high clearance... I'll need to figure out a way to put license plate lights on the bumper as well. Still wary on cutting the truck up but oh well.
