doooooooood... you gotta go to third party places. That's all I've ever done.

This place was really quick.. best one I've found so far.

They sent me the letter 2 weeks after I cut all my hair off. Otherwise I'd have the worst photo you've ever seen right now. They wouldn't let me make goofy faces (I tried a few times) so now it just looks like a mug shot. Not fun at all. But I do have the old one still, just has a hole punched in it. Picture is in good shape still.

X2 on ASAP. Spent 2 hours at the DMV and the person refused to transfer my title over a small mistake, went to ASAP on the way home and had the title transferred and new plates in 5 minutes.

For titles/plates/reg, yeah, I would say go to a third party.

However, photo retakes and licence renewals or replacements all have to be done at the MVD or an authorized third party (not all), as technically you are subject to a new Vision Exam every time your photo is replaced. Or every 12 years, whichever comes first.

E: I did some research on this though, apparently there are a TON of third party locations that can process a DL renewal, whoda thunk it.

    List here
