Mine was $0.89 per mile... but now I have a company car and get nothing. Just expected to drive and not fly. Nowhere near as much fun.

I only get to drive when it's cost effective.
I was in AZ all last week and got caught up in the whole Delta mess on Monday. My checked bag didn't leave Huntsville until late Tuesday and arrived early Wednesday morning.

I'm a defense contractor, so GSA rules apply.
That sucks about the company car, but if you travel enough is saves them a ton of $$.

Delta paid for new clothes, but it was a major hassle.
If near SLC, try to get up to Park City (20ish miles). It's a beautiful place to visit.

I will be very near SLC. I fly into there, then for one day I go down to Dugway Proving Ground. Will spend a whole evening at least in SLC.

My time in the Military prevented me from wanting one. Something about "no distinguishing marks", has proven to be a benefit throughout my career. :)

Mine will be hidden to where it's only visible shirtless, or in a tank top. It's going on my left chest.

Oh yes, the long and painful drive to DPG...... I remember it well. If you can work it out, go have dinner in PC. It really isn't that far.

Got the car the day before Thanksgiving last year and I'm approaching 30k on it. So yeah I drive a bit.

Where you getting it? It's definitely a bit nerve racking. Eat something before you go. Don't worry about other people. Tattoos are for you and no one else.

Edit- didn't see the see the chest comment. Not sure what that's like for pain. I have one on my ribs (didn't hurt much) and one on my hip (hurt a lot)

They changed the rules recently for Navy and you can have a full sleeve, one on the neck, etc. key word being that they are tasteful.

A girl I used to fly missions with had a full sleeve and it was very tasteful. :)

It's just something I'm glad I never did though. Personal choice, plus it was easier to deal with security clearance paperwork without one.

Yeah the waivers are annoying. I think I'm done for a while though. Nothing on my mind I want to get.

    That's terrible!

As for tattoos, I have a few. The one on my left forearm hurt the most. I did my brothers tattoos and my ex-wifes tattoos.

My brother got his done on his left upper arm and on his left shoulder blade.

My ex-wife, I did her main tattoo across the top of her foot and around her ankle, and that seemed very painful.

I did a bunch of pink outlined hearts on my step sons girlfriend all the way down her side and she had tears rolling the whole time.

Best advise I can give you, shave the area, even if you think it's hairless. Make sure it's clean, and most importantly, don't drink anywhere near time to do it, you'll bleed like a stuck pig.
