    What haven’t I changed?
I would consider it only if it was made of aluminum and you weren't planning on installing a winch.

Really depends on what your replacing the factory with, you are losing weight and putting some on. I think most "plate" steel bumpers would need at least springs. Not to mention winch weight (Steel cable is HEAVY)

So if the spring rating is 700#, could it handle ARB 260LB# bumper in the front? Or would it nose dive like a mother when braking or cornering?

Enough to make it a lot of fun!
700 pound sing should be good. But I wouldn't trust stock suspension with a steel plate bumper.

I am going to Defer to @3378jakesr5 @Gramps @BDN or any of the others more experienced in this.

For what it's worth Factory bumper is Aprox 32 Lbs.

Edit: You do know @3378jakesr5 can make you a bumper...

    Never enough
I've been running a 115# plate bumper on stock suspension for a couple months now :anonymous::bananadead: Honestly it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be and visibly it hasn't lost as much height as I would have expected either (never measured stock height so I can't give concrete numbers).

Get a lighter bumper. There are other components screaming in agony besides the coils. Ball joints for one. Go light and stout. Heavy is not necessarily better.
plus if you add a winch/wench, that's just that much more weight.

Better to ask what I have not done.
If your stock spring rate is 721# or what ever then i would go higher then that for a bumper and winch. I think that the lower mount on the corner is closer into the lower control arm pivots compaired to the 2nd gens so thats why it has a higher spring rate. That being said i ran around with the bumper and winch with 650spring rate (pretty much stock rate) tell i did the swap and it road OK. but could have been better and i had the springs about maxed and still did not have the hight i wanted.

He always finds time if you bring the green over with your truck. Take advantage before some lady ends all this.
