I was reading through a 3rd gen post and was responding, but decided to put it to the top to see if anyone had anything to say about it....
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I truly understand why some are totally entertained in the 3rd gen forums. Hell I am sorry to say it takes up my time just for amusement.

Its too bad there are not more detailed posts with pics on "how to subjects" (3rd gen) and working on your setup and keeping it real. Love the build posts, reviews, how to's, and all that detailed information that is hard to gather without having an otherwise expansive personal network. This will grow once all the pissing and moaning is over.

Really the only reason that drew me to any forum, now and in years past is the gain knowledge that otherwise would require a wider and more involved effort to get it done, sometimes by trial and error at the cost of taking the family for dinner or more.

Just so happens embedded through all the BS there are those who thrive on actually making this forum the best...I just hope it rights itself and comes off this course of teaching the deficits such as "how to drive", "do a search" or what really gets my goat is "how to make a decision" ....damn I don't understand anyone helping them learn how to make a decision, no fault in gaining the info you need to make that decision ...but sad to say the least..

Regardless TacomaWorld Rocks and a sound boat will always right itself even after all the shit storms...I am not sure who is the founder and owner of TacomaWorld but they have done a great job and for the most part preserve free speech, even tough there are moderators who push their own beliefs on what some users have the right to say. That is in the constitution last I heard, but private ownership trumps that..

I hope to see more pic filled educational pro 3d gen posts that help the folks who need that push make their truck a truck...love the posts that instill friends ship and team building in the light of common interest.....don't mind seeing someone or myself take a hit when it makes sense.......

For the sake of so many having such a big common interest I am hoping the 3rd gen forum eventually builds itself into what the second gen forum has done....

I dont know where that came from, but I did just exercise my 5 o'clock ritual...and am in a good mood....but shit could change....

Happy Wheelin 3rd gen and all other gen bro's.

I'm going to give this an initial "Popcorn Rating" of 7.5 out of 10. It shows immense promise, but is a slow grower.

The ignore button has helped a lot. I think there are some here on another brand's payroll, there's no other explanation for the incessant garbage being spewed.

Was buying some parts at a local dealer today and I commented to the parts person who owned a lifted bad ass gen 2 Tacoma and was an enthusiast that the dealer had no Tacomas in stock. He said there was a 5 day supply in the country, the 3rd gen was so popular. That paints a pretty big target, too.

Yeah, I can see that. Another brand paying forum posters to invent and post up 3rd Gen issues. Makes total sense.

Not forum posters, hired staff doing viral marketing. Go to the main forum for the other brand and start spinning reliability issues. When a person interested in the other brand hits the forum real fast to see if there are any issues with the new truck, they quickly see that there are issues, never thinking it's planned or taking the time to get to know the people posting and their credibility, and buy something else. There's some big money on the table. Hiring a few people to sabotage a forum is chump change. If they are not doing it, they should be. A lot of low information buyers are skimming forums these days before a purchase.

The other possibility is that there are just some really pathetically sad people with not much of a life to speak of...

Ed, take off your conspiracy theory hat. Owner has issue, owner posts issue, forum responds. Nissan is not paying anyone for this shit. Wish they were, I'd take the cheddar.

The catalyst for the issues in 3rd gen is people posting stuff without seeing if the topic already has a thread. I.e. not using the search function. It creates an atmosphere of incompetence and criticism.

This guy definitely seems fishy to me. His first thread was a total shit show with him claiming some pretty outrageous things. Totally unbelievable shit lol

I am one of those like many 3rd gen guys and gals, who really dig the new ride....I have not owned a new truck for about 10 years now, with the last being a Dodge Ram Big Horn Hemi, in parallel with the Jag, 4runner, Prius and on back from there....with some of the deficits of all those rides I never publicly puked on them, maybe over a beer when had to fix something but rare...I may be a complainer but I really enjoy to see the positive and really enjoy seeing what others have done with their rides....

Thats what cannot be replaced in this forum...highly valuable for enthusiasts who enjoy the contributions of others and the time taken to share it...really some of this stuff I could never come up with....the leads, the vendors, builds, cooking, beer on and on....

For me it motivates me to research and plan on what I want to do with my rides instead of keeping them stock...take out the Prius and and domesticated items.....Looking forward to the "turn" in the 3rd gen section....the 17 TRD PRO may be the ticket.

Amen man. I have been staying away from 3rd gen threads because of this very reason. Is anyone going to actually post some cool stuff they are doing to their trucks? I would love to see more 3rd gen build threads.

I have been sticking to AZ threads because the peeps there are an awesome bunch and it's local for me. The only 3rd gen threads I have been interested in is @0uTkAsT s build thread. I look at the "what have you done to your 3rd Gen today" every now and again but it's still a bitch fest most of the time.

I love my truck and I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that the constant bitching with eventually end as the problems some members get fixed.

But Bob, monitoring the site is one thing and those stats you have are eye-opening for sure. Thanks for sharing.

But actually posting up bogus BS around the numerous 3rd Gen issue hoping they will move to their brand is a stretch. Damn, if the buyer is that dumb as to surf a forum and make a $40K decision, I hope they don't buy a Tacoma of any Gen. Probably shouldn't be driving on public roadways either.

Who knows, maybe I'm wrong. I was wrong in 2011.

And if Chevy is reading this: you have the shittiest bunch of junk, customer service and dealership network I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Please PM for more specifics around your shitty brand.

    That was therapeutic.

Probably most can't afford mods after purchasing their high-priced 3rd gen.
