    Yeah...

It's probably been mentioned somewhere on here before, but ... for this single panel (unless there is a better option)
    https://www.amazon.com/Renogy-Watts-Volts-Monocrystalline-Solar/dp/B009Z6CW7O/

Is this a good MPPT controller?
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008KWPGS6

And then would I just need a fancy cable from the panel to the controller, and regular wire from controller to battery?

I dont plan to expand, just the best solution for one panel. Or would a PWM controller be fine for what I need?

I really need to go to bed at the correct times... I'm like a gremlin, don't let me Amazon near midnight!

Instead, I hang out on TW, and am coerced into buying shit.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BFCNFRM/
    On its way.

I read up a bit before and just did quick research over at Expo, and seems its a toss up between the MPPT and PWM. But... PWM complete setup makes an easy impulse buy and that'll get me started. :annoyed: MPPT controllers are a bit more, and I'd end up pushing it off like I have for the past few months.

Is that setup missing anything that I'll need? Seems like it has the cables, controller, brackets and panel so I should be good to go?

Are the controllers fine to be put under the hood, or should I put it inside the cab and just have a long cable from controller to battery.

You better be there Saturday :argue:

Per Renogy's website "The majority of our solar panel are water proof and do fare well in extreme conditions however, our charge controllers are not water proof. We recommend storing and securing the charge controller in a well ventilated dry space" I suppose as long as it stays dry wherever you put it under the hood and avoid deep river crossings you would be ok?

Thread blowing up, late reply, sure it's already been covered, but... BDN owns his own business and I read that as just some really good advice. I also run my own business (kind of) but even before that when working for others, the kind of work I did/do is sooo variable that something I have always struggled with is answering/predicting 'how long will x take'. One of the things that can help is keeping detailed track of the time you spend doing things to get a feel for how long something usually takes, especially if you do a particular thing on a repetitive/regular basis. On top of that, having all your deadlines and scheduling in a single place makes it much easier to keep track of and see if you're overbooking yourself (or under, though that's usually less of an issue... income not withstanding).

Hahah i think i got that part, i was just lost on how it was comingback to me. I know im running around like a mad man and ive been good at giving times + a little incase something happens then i can tell the customer that their product is done a little early and they like that. And with classes starting next week i have been telling everyone that and that things will be slowing down a bit. But i will continue with things, just a little slower and i hope i have been doing good at letting people know if its going to be late or if something happened.

I think ill have a heart attack if i stopped doing anything after running this hard for the last 2 years.
