    If you remove it then test drive it and find out you don't like it, just put it back on. It's a quick job so no harm in testing it out and seeing if you like it.

    I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me. Holes didn't line up, threading on the screws was weird and super difficult to screw in... took longer than it should have, and stripped screws because of the threading thing. Had to get new hardware and ask my old man for help as well.
