My cap installer plugged those gaps. I knew they were there and was prepared to seal them myself but didn't need to.

 

It's the 3rd generation, the skid plates are available.

 

They are some generic hood fasteners from any auto parts store.

 

I like it. How does it compare to the OR skid?

 

It's much beefier, and this one skid plate replaces the two on the OR. Managed to get it installed by myself, weighs about 20lbs.

 

Have any under the truck pics?

Running a Blue Sea Fuse Block in the engine bay, ran the wiring along the frame to bed and wired them to a Rigid Switch which is attached inside the bed using VHB tape. I will edit this post with those photos.


I used an existing bolt in the bed to mount the Ram Ball Mount. Also used an existing bolt to mount (1) Rigid A-Series (Low Power) in bed closest to the cab. I have the Tri-Folding Cover, so it gets dark in there at night. I wired all three in conjunction.

 

What's funny is the skid plate is made in Canada!

 

That looks to be distribution options - not factory toyota. We don't have that kind of nonsense here in the west coast.

 

I got my new software update for the Transmission, its a totally different feel to the Trans. No more up/down or erratic shifts. And just ordered my new 2017 Limited Tacoma in Blazing Blue.Will be in September 16th.
