I know this was more popular on previous gens.

Anyone do it yet? Any insight on why or why you shouldn't?

Remove for off-road. Keep for on-road.

Do they make any electricc kits?

I know most vehicles say jump under there with a wrench it takes 5 minutes. Would that hold true for this truck?

I assume you're talking about sway bars?
I don't think so. I researched this shortly and all I was able to find was oem JK rubicon stuff. Most coilover reservoir setups mount to the sway bar mounts so that could take a few more minutes to make sure the spacer is lined up after ditching the bar for offroad.

I've seen electronic sway bar locks for the Rubicon.. Can't say about the Taco. But if you do go electronic they run around $300+ easy.

Your wrench doesn't cost more than $20. That's why people wrench them off when they off-road. Cheaper.

Depends how fast you are with a wrench, 2 knuckle bolts and 4 frame mount bolts and you may have to drop the back of you skid to get a wrench in... 15-20 minutes...

Well that sucks. Not trying to sound like a lazy ass, but an electronic disconnect would be much preferable. Kind of shocking no one makes them for tacomas.

If I could afford a power wagon I would right now. I'll probably buy one used in a few years.

DO NOT remove one link, the bar will ram into the cv axle and destroy it.

The only way to do it is to remove the bar.

The T4R trail uses a method that simply removes the tension to the bar that in turn lets the wheels drop.

I think it is the baddest ass off road pickup you can buy off the lot....the only downside is no diesel option (yet) and with a vehicle that large it is harder to get onto some of the back roads and trails (maneuverability)
