Yep just read the recent fire update and they mentioned the extended Red Flag warning . I'm maybe under 4 miles now from the southern edge of the fire and it has been spotting up to a distance of 2 miles . Right now my outside temp / humidity is 105°/ 9% humidity and winds from the NE @ 9mph

The smoke plume is huge again with it laying over towards the NE . Also looks like Lytle creek park and Wrightwood are in Danger of being overrun now . The winds are picking up and it's not looking good

Here's a recent within the hour news conference

Don't hesitate to get out if necessary. Stuff can be replaced. Lives, not so much.

    Afternoon everyone

The fire has blown up again with thick grayish black smoke plumes and the winds are from the SE @ 30mph . The fire is very erratic in behavior and now the southern flank of the fire is just over 3 miles from me

I do have important items and pets ready to go at a moment's notice but as long as the winds stay from the south I'm safe for now

As long as the winds are coming from the SSW I'm safe , if it's from the NNE (Santa Ana winds ) then I'm screwed . The forecast is showing only onshore winds not Santa Ana winds (off shore winds )

Edit ... Updated acreage burned now at 66k plus acres , since 9 am this morning it's burned over 30k acres
