I'm trying to decide whether or not to purchase the OEM tonneau cover. Since the the tonneau cover has to be ordered with the truck, I was hoping to get some feedback from owners that have the OEM tonneau cover to help make my decision. Thanks in advance.

I have one and I like it. It's nice to be able to lock things up in the bed. It folds up nicely and easily. I have not tried to get it off but I heard that was easy as well.

Mine was to come with one, but there was a mixup and it didn't, I insisted the dealer install the OEM one. I like it a lot. Will say I have had some trouble with the weather strips on it where the panels fold. One section of one of the strips reversed folding direction and made it difficult to fold. I had the dealer replace the strip. I recently had another piece do the same.

I've had mine exactly 7 days but I am a fan of it so far. I noticed that when I washed my truck, water did get inside the bed, but very little. The bed stayed dry during a recent downpour however.

I have one and I have this same issue with about four inches of the outer seal folding the wrong way when opening. Other than that it is a nice heavy duty cover. Recommended!

Do they fold all the way up to the window allowing full access to the bed or do they only fold duo and you lose 1 1/2 feet of the bed space?

it folds in 2 places so you lose 1/3 of the bed or around 1.5 ft of usable space above the cover and has clip to hold it in place when folded

For most of the time you will only need to fold back the 2 sections. It works great for trips to Home Depot and the such. I haven't had the need to removed the cover yet. I also got the OEM Cargo Divider and that makes it great for trips to the store where you don't have things sliding all over the bed if you don't have a full load. Add a few bungee cords and you are in there.

I've been contemplating getting that cargo divider, but the price they charge for it is obscene!

Any idea on how much it weighs when you do have to take it off?

I thought about getting the OEM cover, but I am glad I didn't. I got the Bakflip HD. It works in a similar fashion, was easy to install and cost much less. I absolutely love it. Out of sight, out of mind for potential thieves.

    Somewhere around 70lbs.

I now have the OEM cover installed on my truck. It's way over-engineered for what it should be.

I ordered mine with the truck and really like it. Like other people commenting, I haven't had the need to remove it yet but was also told it's pretty easy to do. Really nice having the ability to keep things dry and locked up. It's a good looking well made product.

Since the OEM cover is solid, it will help out a bit with gas mileage. A soft or flexible one won't.

When I sell my 08 Tacoma next month and get a 17 I am going to go with the OEM cover. My only complaint is with the manual locking tailgate. My 07 Tundra would lock the tailgate along with all of the doors. I know can go aftermarket to make this happen on the Tacoma, I just wish we didn't have to go that route. First world problems lol!
