Welcome, nice looking truck and good luck on finding your best combination for what you want to use it for. Not a canopy guy, so don't have much to offer there. Big into fishing, but my tie downs work just fine for my float tubes and fly fishing gear.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one in my town that knows where the 4wd selector is

I have to ask though, where does one go off-roading in the Tampa area? :crapstorm:

Thanks! Yeah a float tube is the next purchase, Im liking the sliding rear window so when the going gets tough on the river I can hop around spots without breaking down my fly rod! Ill have to experiment with the moveable tie downs.

The biggest difference you'll notice is a significant decrease in miles per gallon.
I was averaging between 21 and 23 miles per gallon with the stock factory tires. Then I got LT265 70 17 BFG KO2's and I never got better than 18 miles per gallon after that. Truth be told, they screwed up and put load range "E" tires on there by accident, which happen to be 10 ply tires that are heavier.

The are factory oem. No I don't think they will do much to protect the doors. I'll probably pull them for sliders at some point.

I bought them off ebay. The guy has great customer service. He sent out one set and the are printed on a clear vinyl. When I put them on they were a dark orange. Actually looked pretty cool. But I asked him about it, he sent me out a new set on him and a different shade. I like them and for 18 bucks you can't beat it. That said the guy on here, cboy88 maybe? Probably had a better quality decal. If I thought it was something I was going to stick with, I'd be (will be) having him make me a new set. But if you want his info I'll send it to ya

Welcome. Prepare to be broke once you find the "What have you done to your 3rd gen today" thread. Damn thread has cost me more money than I care to admit.

Edit: Ignore the people that claim their truck is falling apart in every other post.

Not too many spots here. I work in Real Estate and we cover 5 counties so if I'm in an area where there is a spot, I'll head there after I've done my business.

If you search on here for fishing rod holders, guys on here have made some pretty awesome home made rod holders using PVC and wood.

Nice! Glad you can find some spots to put it to use. Guess we get too hung up on mountainous terrain, but I would love to do some Baja rides.

ive got the load range C 265/70 on my truck and only lost about 1 mpg over the stock tires. I do however notice a slight drop in acceleration/power.

How did a.r.e paint match work out for you they messed mine up. It's a shade darker and you can only see the difference on a overcast day. Did you send your gas cap in. Cause I tried and they said no a.r.e prides themselves on not having to do that. So 5 weeks later I receive a wonderful mismatched topper.
