Why not just get +3 for front? There's no reason to go shorter if you're going to go through the annoyance of changing lines.

The Icons that are coming, are standard travel. And I read you dont need much more than stock, for the fronts?

Why not just get +3 though lol? I'm sure there isn't much of a price difference. Just in case you ever get extended or something.

Thanks to Mike, I now have some 2012 TRD Baja front shocks that are bilsteins with the Eibach springs that I don't need. Looking to let them go for $300 if anyone is interested. Also have some stock 2012 headlights that have about 70k miles on them and have no issues for sale as well since I went with projectors for $175. Lastly, I have a set of rear stock tail lights, the left one got cracked and part of the outer plastic is off but still functions all the same, $80 for them.

If @fatfurious2 ends up ordering fronts, I'll trade them for a flare nut wrench and can of PB blaster

Look at the lines from @OCTaco, its 119 shipped in any length and there is a few colors too. Mine came to my house In a few days, great guy to work with.

I'm so new to all this that none of this is making sense to me. Is this something you need when putting on a lift?

you don't absolutely need it depending on the amount of lift and type of lift with how much suspension travel you'll have. when my rear suspension is at full droop my brake lines are tight not pinched or anything but tight so for safety sake install extended brake lines to give yourself some wiggle room plus if you install braided lines it'll give more protection and they tend to flow a little better giving a little added braking performance just my 2 cents

So I bought my totally stock 2nd gen Taco about a month ago. Without going SUPER crazy, what do you guys think I NEED to do for either safety or longevity? Tires and lift kits are great and nice and yes I want to get these. But if i break down because of something i should have done first they wont do me much good. I am tracking on the recalls so thats covered.

Sorry guys, I've been really busy these past weeks and started a new job this week which is why I haven't been on here at all.

@Choco_Taco Unfortunately I can't come tomor to Cap ale house. I forgot it's my sisters bday this weekend so I am doing stuff with her and the family.

@Coot83 Welcome! I have morimoto HIDs with FX-R 3.0 projectors and this past May I took my truck to get inspected at my toyota dealership where I bought my truck. I get free oil change and inspections from them for life. Anyways, this year they now have actual state inspector officials there watch them do their inspections so I got rejected due to my ballasts not being labeled DOT approved. I just took it to a local shop where I get my emissions done and he passed it.

@Casper66 @TacoFMS I got too busy and wasn't able to set an official date/time to meet up in downtown. When my schedule becomes less busy I will try again and keep you guys updated. I'll try not to disappoint you again haha.

To any of the other new people I missed while skimming through and catching up.. Welcome!

Well it depends budget wise what you want to do, but some adjustable coils and and a decent leaf pack/rear shocks in the rear is what many go with for a good functional set up. If you want a some height, but may not wheel much then a lift should work for you. Without knowing more of what you are wanting to acheive its hard to advise exactly what to do. Ideally whatever you decide all you need to do is extend out your brake lines to the same amount of height you add to your truck and that should cover it. Suspension lifts are decent, but the blocks in them tend to crack if you do a lot of wheeling which is one thing to watch out for.
