Yep! I did the bed in my last taco, scraping out the old bed liner was terrible.

    Spray or roll on?

It was the spray on kit. Comes with the gun which I just tossed out since it was cheap.

K&N Intake. Gutted Cats. Slightly larger tires.

Worked really well. It doesn't quite pull it fully in still (going to try and tighten the springs up later) but it pulls in MUCH better, it SMELLS much better (lemony fresh!!!) and it feels clean.

And yes, the term "Rode Hard" from my name is exactly what you said. The poor truck was abused to hell and back and she never quit. Since I got her about a year ago...

    All struts
Wiring (hit brakes and turn bulbs lit up)
    Hitch
    Electric Trailer brakes.
Knocked out a LOT of dents.
    Replaced both front fenders
    Replaced both front headlights
    Replaced grille
    Cleaned interior (OMG nasty!)
Changed trans fluid (Still had OEM seal on it at 240k)
    Rear diff fluid change
    Crankshaft pulley/vibration dampner
    Battery
    Replaced front parking light assemblies
    Replaced rear tail lights
Fixed interior door cards (track was off and rubbing the window)
Gutted both cats (first one was beaten so bad that it had actually turned sideways in the pipe)
    K&N drop in filter
    Fuel filter
    Plugs
    Cleaned throttle body and MAF
    Tinted both door windows
Replaced rear quarter glass latches and bent interior bracket back into place.
    Flushed brake fluid.
Cross drilled and slotted rotors up front with performance ceramic pads (for trailering mostly)
    Lower ball joints.
    Front wheel bearings
    Strut rod bar bushings.
    Resealed oil pan.
Deleted stock snorkel style intake tube
Mocked up and installed F350 front bumper.
    Wired up F350 fog lights.
Installed LED turn signal housing assembly (from a trailer)
    Adjusted e-brake cable
    Replaced all belts
Rattle can spray painted the entire truck black.

I do believe that is all! I've become quite familiar with the old girl and her guts! lol

So yes, Rode Hard. Put up wet.

Hey man you know what it mean when oil is coming out of that breather tube right? Or oil coming out of your turbo?

Usually means blow by, thus rings are getting wore.

No biggie if you are not using more than a quart in 4000 miles.

Beats dumping it back into the intake.

Personally, I don't see how it hurts anything with a bit of oil sitting in the bottom of the intake. The space it takes up is very small so the reduction of combustion air is not even measurable.

When it builds up, I would rather see it burned and sent out the tail pipe. I don't have time to mess with catch cans.

Does anyone know how I can tell if I have a bent steering knuckle? I just tried to get an alignment and they couldn't adjust something because of a possible bad ball joint or a bent steering knuckle? They said the ball joints looked ok.. But now they've got me worried.

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
Extremely difficult to tell visually, especially with the spindle on the truck. Spindles bend pretty easily and a very minute bend will cause alignment troubles. When I've seen them bend, including my own, the top bend for the upper ball joint is not 90°. Take a look and see if it is noticeably bent or compare side to side.

Speaking of which, any truck that spends a decent amount of time off road would benefit from spindle gussets.

That makes sense, any chance this would cause any sort of vibrations? If I end up needing to switch this thing out gussets sound like a great idea. I'm so over this fixing stuff thing haha :violent:

i wonder if you have frozen cam bolts. Those are the most likely things to cause inability to align.

With that said, IM not impressed with the alignmental tech. They should be able to tell you exactly what is wore out and show you, too.

Yeah they were Firestone, they were a complete joke, the bolt was froze last week so I rescheduled for today, I've been spraying them with pb blaster all week and he was able to free them today and said he didn't know why it wouldn't align but it wouldn't. He said possibly a bad ball joint or the bent knuckle, I looked back on alignment sheets from the past two years and they are always consistent with the same numbers, so that would mean that different techs came to the same conclusion
.. I might take it to another shop but this is also the first shop that has mentioned anything about a bent knuckle..

Quick question...is it possible to swap out the bushings on a rack and pinion without removing the whole thing?

Yes. Unbilt the c looking clamp bolts and the big one that goes through the cross member and when you get those and the rack is looser unbolt the one that comes from the top and I would take your wheels and tires off also
