Pretty cool. Sub'd to see if someone did this on a non-JBL system.

A little pricey considering you still have to purchase a few other components to make it all work. Still interested in some real world feedback though.

The dumb thing is that the controls have to be done from the phone and the screen needs to stay on.

For non nav headunits you only need avc39 cable which you can get cheaper through other sites, the rest of the stuff is generic, you dont have to purchase it from them.

Never heard of this company. The Crux AVITY-01 should work the same way..and much cheaper. Also, you don't have to mount a ghetto switch(VIM is activated thought factory steering wheel buttons) much cleaner IMO. I work in the 12V industry and Crux makes reputable products.

oh cool. it would be nice if they allowed it to work with iOS OR android. I have an iphone right now but might buy a note 7 in the next 6 months.

what was that gray button he said you had to wire down to where you can reach?

It's too pricey for my taste, I might as well spend a couple hundred more and get a full blown Pioneer HU w/o the gps, with more power and features galore, and more camera hookups, like a front camera.

    Cheers!

Unfortunately no current samsung devices supports video out via cables. Galaxy s5, and galaxy note 4 were the last to have MHL support. you can use chromecast or miracast to output video wirelessly.

ah dang, well i suppose a stereo with android auto would be better anyways. i have never owned a nav unit though, is it safe to assume there are after market models that will support all the steering wheel audio/phone/bluetooth controls in any newer cars?

i just really want waze on one, and its coming to android auto, but of course toyota needs to push their own entunes stuff.

Yeah I believe so, steering wheel Controls are easy to integrate with aftermarket head units just need an interface adapter if the radio doesn't have it already.
