True story. I have been filling tires one by one for at least 5yrs. I figured what the hell finally. It's amazing how much time I have for activities now.

 

The Ingersoll Rand "Imperial Type 10" twin cylinder, compound compressor will deliver all the air one could possibly need.
These guys are all over the Rocky Mountain mine camps.


This fellow is near the summit of Mosquito pass.



This one further to the SW, is remarkably complete. Even the lift out oil drip cups have not been pilfered.





This one is even more complete, but the motor need some work.




For the weight conscious, go for the single cylinder. Probably still need dual batteries.

Good eye, the band brake has wooden "pads".

That didn't even strike me as being unusual....
Lots of old farm equipment uses wooden brake pads too; my parents have got a bunch of old horse-drawn stuff that has wooden brakes.

 

Maybe semi portable, but it was powered by a steam engine.

 

has anyone had any first hand experiences with the TemboTusk Skottle? im highly considering one to replace all my pots pans stoves, everything. but it comes at a hefty price and im wondering if they're worth it. the basic kit runs $275 for everything to get going or you can get just the skottle, for 180

yeah something like this, looks pretty compact.

 

That is pretty cool. I've seen them and they are awesome. Not sure if I could justify the cost though. Gotta make decisions haha.

 

the cost is alot, but you gain soooo much room, if i could ditch my current set up to cook, a table, a bbq, midsize flat skillet, larger deep dish skillet, and a single burner propane, and condense it down to one unit that can cook everything i need, that in itself is worth the cost, not to mention you can totally use this at home for everyday cooking aswell.

 

True! Pretty cool little device! But can it boil water for my morning coffee?

 

It's not a rock crusher. It's part of a system that turns a belt connected to another wheel that turns yet another wheel and powers a 5-stamp mill at a gold mine.

It's also steam powered.
