Not sure if you did all the fenders yet but this method worked well for me for solid marks:

I did the fronts, rears today. Yea I was going to do that but got lazy and just taped those pencils, it worked fine...How did you protect the edge from rust and also what section of home depot did you get the little rubber trim you put on yours?

I figured the adhesive I used was going to protect it enough. I used 3M Plastic and Emblem adhesive on the edge all the way around and then used this stuff I got from the local pep boys:

The only reason the shackle moves is because the eye to eye distance of the springs changes as it goes through its cycle. Shackle angle at static ride height should be determined by the length of the spring at its longest to ensure that the shackle can move that far without obstruction. So in all actuality the shackle angle at static rise height is immaterial. Or so my brain tells me.

Shackle lengths & Angles act as levers on the springs with the weight of the vehicle. Setting the shackle angle really is a balance of three things 1. Ride Height 2. Spring Rate, and 3. Spring movement in an ARC.

Offroad wise, a "laid back shackle is ideal" (60*+ from a vertical shackle) While the spring has less ride height and spring rate, when flexed, the spring will go back to its natural arc as well as the additional travel from the shackle length + angle.

Onroad wise, a more "traditional" shackle angle is (45* and less from a vertical shackle) Now the spring has more arc and more height, adding more spring rate to the pack. When flexed since the springs are closer to the natural arc they will only rely on the little bit of shackle angle left for travel.

Essential the further of an angle that the shackle has, the more of a role it plays in the decrease of spring rate.

Lol either you or Tim were right behind me when it happened. I had no business trying that obstacle from that side on stock gears and no front locker.

I have however been up the backside on 265's too.

:D Next time will be up and over from the backside but not till after I get back from Moab. Goals are to get my shit into tip top shape for Moab because driving cross country ain't no joke. Will probably do some easier trips to RC in the early spring to work any bugs out.

It's the 4x innovations kit. It's a good kit and works well your just limited on shackle options because it uses the same style wide on one end and narrow on the other that the stock shackle is. Also I set everything up to provide minimal lift. Those photos I posted are stock verse flip kit at full droop. The truck is on a lift with all 4 tires off the ground.

    Please stop talking. Thank you.

I blame @ToyRyd04. I saw him go up and over on my 2nd Rausch trip and it's made me want to ever since.
