Yeah... I'm not crazy about the look of them either, but the CIPA add-on mirrors are absolutely useless! It'll be nice to actually be able to see along side my camper when towing. I'll give up some of the aesthetics for function I suppose.

 

Next challenge, try that with the AZ BS thread.

I honestly don't understand the problem everybody has with tow mirrors lately. If you actually tow with your truck, they're practically mandatory.

 

think i'm gonna get banned, i'll miss you guys hahaha

 

Um, well know fact at least to us out of staters. Maine has a law that you can not tow without towing mirrors. I know for a fact that they sit on top of overpasses and look for offenders. Mostly us from Mass that get bagged, I know a couple of people personally. So yes towing mirrors are mandatory at least in your state they are

Yeah, I know. I don't like the look of them. I was hoping to get away with the CIPA clip ons and keep it looking normal when not towing. The CIPAs suck though, they're pretty useless. Those other ones came up locally at a good price so I figured what the hell. I give any of you permission, if you see me driving around unloaded with the mirrors extended to give me a good smack to keep me in line. Same if you ever catch me with a flat brim hat.

 

Depends on what you're towing. I believe that the law states that if it's tall enough to obstruct rearward visibility, you need tow mirrors. If you're towing a low-boy utility/landscaping trailer that you can see over the top of, you're not required to have them.

Pretty sure the standard is that you need to have unrestricted visibility for 200 feet behind you.

 

Hey everyone, dropping in to say hello. Quick question:

Does anyone know of any places that do undercoating for rust? I think I read on here that there's a place in New Hampshire that does it and you must go annually. does that sound familiar to anyone?
